Issue Position

For too long, Georgia has relied upon the federal government to fund our vital transportation projects.

The fact is we should not depend on--nor can we trust--the federal government to cover our transportation costs. That's why I led the effort to pass the Transportation Funding Act, which changed the Georgia gas tax to a flat tax and stabilized our revenues, giving Georgia more control over our infrastructure projects and saving taxpayers over 30% on road building costs.
